We are thrilled to unveil the extraordinary journey of our anti-poaching marvel, Hope, and her devoted handler. Through your unwavering support and generous contributions this remarkable tale of dedication and protection is made possible. We cannot thank you enough for being the backbone of Hope’s mission. Join us in exploring Hope’s recent endeavours and the critical role she plays in our conservation efforts.

Duty Calls: A 24/7 Commitment

Hope and her handler work tirelessly, adhering to a demanding deployment schedule. Their patrols consist of High-Visibility daytime patrols along the Main Roads and Covert nighttime patrols. Their combined efforts ensure that our wildlife remains safeguarded around the clock.

An Unbreakable Bond

The bond between Hope and her human counterpart is nothing short of inspiring. Their partnership exemplifies the epitome of trust and teamwork. Hope has seamlessly integrated herself into her surroundings, embracing the diverse wildlife within the reserve.

Scenting Victory: Tracking Beyond Limits

Hope’s tracking skills are truly awe-inspiring. Regularly engaging in scent-tracking exercises over distances of 1-2 km, she displays unmatched precision in following scents and identifying objects along her path. Additionally, her captivating Apprehension Demonstrations leave visitors to the reserve in sheer amazement.

A Guardian’s Presence

Hope’s very presence on the reserve has had a profound impact on safety and awareness. The respect and reverence exhibited by the reserve staff exemplify her role as a symbol of protection. She stands as a beacon of vigilance against poaching and other threats to our invaluable wildlife.

Empowering Communities: A Wider Impact

Beyond the reserve’s borders, Hope’s significance only grows. Local Rural Safety Structures have reached out to us, seeking her assistance in addressing serious and violent crime scenes. This extension of her role underscores the profound trust our community places in her capabilities.

Wellness and Care: A Priority

Hope is in impeccable health, boasting a high drive and impressive fitness level. Her kennel is meticulously cleaned each morning, and her nutrition is tailored to ensure peak performance. During handler’s rest days, she’s under the watchful eye of the Farm Manager.

A Call to Action: Sustaining Hope’s Legacy

As we celebrate Hope’s remarkable achievements, we acknowledge that the journey is ongoing. The costs associated with her training, care, and operations are substantial. We invite you to stand with us, ensuring the continuity of Hope’s mission, by contributing to her ongoing costs.
