Hope’s Journey to Healing

A Tale of Triumph

We stand in awe of the incredible journey our beloved Hope has embarked upon—a journey of resilience, strength, and the unwavering spirit that defines her as a true wildlife warrior.

The Beginning: Hope, our dedicated anti-poaching dog, was out on patrol with our fearless rangers when tragedy struck. Bitten not once, but three times by a Puff Adder, Hope faced the full force of nature’s challenge. The original strike to her face left two puncture wounds, and two subsequent strikes to her neck added four more punctures. Yet, through it all, Hope’s spirit remained unbroken.

The Response: Thanks to the swift and determined actions of our team, Hope was rushed to the nearest vet, a journey of nearly an hour. The dedicated care she received, coupled with her incredible strength, saw her through the night under observation. The anti-venom proved effective, stabilising all vital signs.

The Resilience: Hope’s journey is a testament to her extraordinary resilience. Taking on as much Puff Adder venom as possible, she defied the odds and emerged a survivor. Her fight for life, against all odds, showcases the indomitable spirit we cherish.

The Road Ahead: As Hope continues her recovery, we remain vigilant in providing the care and attention she needs. Her strength has inspired us all, and we are confident that this incredible dog will make a full recovery, continuing her crucial role in the fight against poaching.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT HOPE:

  1. Celebrate Her Journey: Share Hope’s story far and wide. Let her journey inspire others.
  2. Donate: Contribute to Hope’s ongoing care by making a donation. Your generosity makes a real impact.
  3. Send Messages of Love: Leave your messages of love and encouragement. Your words are a source of strength for Hope and our entire team.

Stay tuned for further updates on Hope’s progress. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each one of you for being a part of this incredible journey. Hope’s triumph is a victory for us all.
