Into the Night
Protecting Wildlife with the Power of Thermal Vision
As the sun sets over the African bush, most of the world begins to rest. But for our team at Saving The Survivors, nightfall signals a crucial shift—one where the threat of poaching rises, and our work becomes more urgent than ever.
Thanks to cutting-edge thermal technology generously donated by Thomas Jacks Limited, we’re now able to see through the darkness like never before. Using Pulsar thermal cameras, our dedicated anti-poaching units can monitor the landscape in real-time—detecting the heat signatures of both animals and potential threats, even in total darkness or dense terrain.
This breakthrough is more than just a technological upgrade. It’s a life-saving tool.
In incredible thermal footage recently captured during one of our night patrols, you’ll glimpse a world rarely seen: cheetahs on the move, rhinos grazing under moonlight, and our legendary survivor Seha, a Southern White Rhino bull, standing strong as a symbol of resilience. You’ll also witness our team navigating the night, ever-vigilant, ensuring that these endangered animals are safe under our watch.
This technology has transformed the way we operate. It enhances our ability to:
Detect and deter poachers before harm is done
Monitor vulnerable species more accurately
Respond swiftly to emergencies, no matter the hour
Most importantly, it enables us to give wildlife the protection they so desperately need—when they need it most.
This work is only possible because of people like you. Every patrol, every piece of equipment, and every life saved is directly powered by your support. We are entirely donation-funded, and we can’t thank our community enough for standing with us.
