In a recent daring expedition, led by our founder and head veterinarian, Dr. Johan, our team embarked on a critical mission to rescue a White Rhino cow and her calf, epitomising our commitment to endangered African wildlife. Responding to alarming reports of the cow’s deteriorating health, our team launched a helicopter rescue, armed with determination and veterinary expertise. The situation was grave, with a mother Rhino and her vulnerable calf facing imminent threats from illness and predators alike.

The rescue operation was a delicate balance of skill and compassion, as Dr. Johan and his team meticulously darted the Rhino cow and her calf from above. This intervention was crucial, laying the groundwork for a comprehensive health assessment conducted with the utmost care and precision.

Blood tests revealed a hidden struggle, necessitating immediate veterinary attention. The cow was administered deworming treatments and vital booster shots, marking the beginning of her road to recovery. This phase of the mission highlighted the challenges and intricacies of African endangered species rescue projects.
